Jean-Luc DaCosta (Luc for short) can be considered many things, but there are three that come immediately to mind... A sharp and cynical wit, short-attention span and somewhat unhinged personality.

Luc grew up a military brat, traveling constantly from base to base. This, along with Luc's cynical mentality made it difficult for him to make friends in his own age group.

It wasn't until he moved to the 7th circle of Hell (AKA Omaha Nebraska), that Luc made his first true friend in the form of Alison Gates. Alison, although physically and emotionally two years younger than Luc, was also intellectually his equal. She never let his somewhat reclusive and sarcastic personality stop her from becoming his surrogate little sister. Unfortunately, two years after meeting, Alison moved away. They however remained the best of friends through lengthy phone calls and occasional visits.

After graduating high school, Luc began attending college to receive his degree in graphic design. But of course school is expensive and Luc needed cash. This led him to his job at a local restaurant, where he met Barbara 'Babs' Palmer. Both brought up as military brats and sharing the same type of 'dark humor' they of course became friends.

Now perusing an education in Graphic Design and working, Luc continues to try and make it through his existence, wherever that may lead, while making commentary about it every step of the way.

Alison is what you would call a child genius with no common sense. Skipping two grades in Junior High School, Alison found herself constantly surrounded by people older than herself. Her high intelligence and low maturity made it hard for her to keep close to people, until she met Jean-Luc DaCosta who shared her level of intellect, and could handle her emotional level of maturity (or lack there of).

The two became near inseparable, as they developed a loving, yet abusive brother-sister like relationship. Alison became the balancing factor in Luc's life. She became the Cher to his Sonny, the Jay to his Silent Bob, the Grace to his Will.

Unfortunately Alison was forced to move to Texas and later Philadelphia during their freshman year of high school. Yet despite this minor setback, Alison continued to keep a close friendship with Luc and visited on many occasions during the years as well as their weekly 4-hour phone conversations at 3 in the morning. During one return visit, Alison met a new friend of Luc's by the name of Babs who shared similar interests in psychology and the abuse of Luc.

Alison is known to be a flakey, self-absorbed drama queen and despite her intelligence, she does everything on a whim. Still, she can be very caring, understanding and loyal. So in short, while her mind is skilled, she finds herself unable to understand the obvious.

Babs is borderline crazy. Fun loving and energetic Babs is known for her sudden and unexpected mood swings and random comments and actions.

Like Luc, Babs was born in a military lifestyle and was forced to move around quite a bit during childhood. This of course gave her a slightly different out look on the world and that was all of humanity are her playthings.

With the hopes of becoming a psychiatrist (oh, the irony) Babs has a shockingly accurate ability to read people and mold them, as she will see necessary. She apparently gained this ability during a brief stint in a mental institution and screwing with her older brother's mentality for many years. It also helps that many of her victims are men, and she just so happens to have REALLY BIG boobies. They don't stand a chance.

She and Luc met on his first day of work at a local second-rate restaurant, and realizing how much their sadistic minds thought alike, formed a close friendship. It was through Luc that Babs met Alison, and together they have brought further chaos to Luc's life and one day the world.

Babs is apparently dating and living with an older man by the name of Tad. Unfortunately Tad, much like Big Foot, has yet to make a physical appearance, and only fuzzy photographic evidence has been seen.

What web comic would be complete without the cute, adorable, yet highly disturbed and dangerous pet penguin?

Not much is known about Alfred, prior to his introduction into our group of miscreants. He was born in captivity at the local zoo, and lived there for several months until his 'liberation' at the hands of Babs and an unsuspecting Luc.

Named 'Alfred' after the famed butler character from Batman Comics, the young penguin now resides (a term used loosely) with Babs, who is attempting to teach him to be a servant of sorts. Unfortunately, Alfred has other plans and simply loafs around the house stealing shiny things and hiding them under the stoop outside.

He has developed a surprising skill with the sniper rifle once owned by Babs' then boyfriend, Tad. Why Tad ever had a sniper rifle in the first place is still in question.

No one is certain how he became such as sharp shooter, but one thing is known for certain: the numbers of Jehovah Witnesses in the city have gone down considerably.
